flat rat

I'm now living with my mothers side of the family, but earlier I lived with my dad's dad. aka my grandpa. It’s weird how some things have changed, and others haven’t. I still don’t get along with my grandpa—not to a horrible extent, it’s not like we are intentionally cold or cruel to the other, he just seems indifferent to me. That’s a scary thought for me, since I’m used to the stereotypical happy grandpa who would give anything in the world to hug his grand-daughter/son. He’s my only live grandparent, and the only one I’ve really seen a lot. I have my regrets—I should have been nicer to him when he came to America to live with us, but instead of trying to bond, I always spoke in English in front of him since he couldn’t understand it, and I gave him mean faces when he told me to sit on the broken chair during dinner( we have four chairs, and one of them is not part of the set, is especially wobbly, and has drawings all over it, it hink I did the drawings, so I’ll take the blame for that) I haven’t come here for a while, and the only thing he has said to me thus far has been 1. Why don’t you buy some bread?, and 2. Are you going to refill your rice? but the other day, before i left for taipei, he gae me 2000 taipei money = 60$. and my aunt gavae me a 1000 american dollars graduation red pocket.

My mom spotted a rat the other day on my grandpa's street. It wasn’t a normal rat, it was a rat carpet, flat and fuzzy, about a centimeter high and smushed to the ground. My mom and I kept trying to hypothesize the order of events that allowed the rat to become a lifeless carpet. Did he die on the street, and then get run over by one of those giant trucks carrying pineapples? Or was he trying to cross the street when a car ran it over. Or did a motor cycle go over it? Or maybe some crazy guy who enjoys flattening live animalssmushed it and then threw it out the window like a Frisbee?

right now im trying to figure out how to upload photos.
nvm it works now.
